Math/Physics Semester 1 Reflection
Math has never really been my favorite subject, and I sure wasn't prepared for high school math either. You know how the first day goes, the teachers give an introduction and you get right into the work. It went just like that this year. But, the longer we did the work, it became easier. Then, we started one of my favorite projects of the year so far, the Great 9th Grade Odyssey...or the Cardboard Boat Project. Since that project, I've had a totally different outlook on Math and Physics. I have however been falling a little behind with the production of this digital portfolio, and now its biting me in the ass. I also have to say It's hard for me to keep up, but then, I don't know how but I manage to pull my grade back up. So, I'm definitely looking at the 2nd semester as a fresh start.
Math/Physics Semester 2 Reflection
Here I am, ending Semester 2 of Integrated Math/Physics. I think my favorite part of 9th Grade M/P was when we went to Six Flags for the Rollercoaster Project to "study the physics behind rollercoasters". Each of us were given a sheet of "work" to "do" while we were there. I can almost guarantee, nobody did any of the work. I think one of the hardest things about this semester was keeping up with the Accelerated Math packets due at the end of every week. Averaging 2 Exercises, 1 Test, and a Timed Quiz. My attitude has definitely changed in Math/Physics. I used to be not that excited for 4th and 5th period, but now that I've grown as a mathematician, M/P is now my favorite class in the day. My absolute favorite Physics demonstration was the most recent demonstration about Gravity from the Rollercoaster project. We dropped two different massed balls from the Catwalk and they hit the floor at the same time. I'm looking forward to next year's math and CHEMISTRY.
